He's Sick

I drove to see him just now, although only a brief meeting. The last time I saw him was on the first day of CNY. Since he came back from Singapore last Sunday, he was sick. He got better yesterday, but ate something he shouldn't for dinner, so his fever returned with a vengeance today. He looked cute in his white sweater, as he came down to see me. He was sweating and felt very hot when I touched his forehead.

I just went briefly to collect something from him, and his mum was taking him to see the doctor again anyways. Now that he's sick, I didn't have the heart to sit him down and have the talk that we needed. Valentine's day is just 2 days away, and I'm kinda on the fence of what to do. If the talk ended up in us breaking up, wouldn't it be disasterous if it were on Valentine's day and he's sick as well? I don't wanna kick him while he's down. I'll wait for him to get better before I begin to question our relationship...

In order to 'save' this relationship, I agree with what you plan. SUPPORT YOU! :)

Awww...imagine if you're being dumped on Valentine's Day and when you're sick at the same time. That's a double major blow!!! It would be heart-breaking! Wait till everything is over and find a suitable time to talk things over.

Dearest Mark,

You're pretty adamant about your decision to 'kick' him as mentioned in your blog and I feel a bit sorry for the state of affair you're in. I think you're in a good stead to make decision about this entire affair.

Just take it as an experience before devoting yourself to another relationship. There is always a liberal dose of skepticism needed in any relationship and even prior to a relationship, there are signs that you need to decipher. It is not easy because some signs are quite obscure.

Yes, Bobo is attractive and young but he may have different expectation. My own experience tells me that attractive and young guys are merely for fun and nothing more than that. He might be seeking more fun than commitment since he still have a long road ahead. By comparison, you want more commitment than fun and such a conflicting interest resulted in unfulfilled expectation that lead to disappointment and heart break.

Penang is just a small island of 600,000 people and within this gay community, couples tend to get recycled. Don't expect too much out of gay relationship as it won't be long-lasting. The fun part is just a brief one before heavier commitment set in. And gays don't like to have any commitment. Gays just want to have fun.

Kevin: Thanks =)

Calvin: Exactly...

Anonymous: I don't think he does anymore...

Isaac: Thanks ya, you're always such a good, concerned friend. I know long-lasting gay relationships are rare, but I have to be optimistic and have some faith too, right? Not all gay people are like that, and I'm not about to chop the entire tree coz of a some bad fruits yet.
